New Women's Cancer Support Group In Rye

RYE, NY — Support Connection, Inc., a not-for-profit organization specializing in free support services for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, announces the launch of a new support group in Rye, NY. Beginning May 22, the support group will take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the SOUL RYEDERS office in Rye.

Registration is open now. The group is open to women with breast, ovarian or gynecological cancer. It focuses on living with cancer at all stages of diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment.

There are many common factors to any cancer diagnosis. A support group enables women to share information and experiences, confidentially discuss concerns, and gain support from others who understand. Support Connection’s support groups are led by peer facilitators: trained facilitators who are also cancer survivors.
