Playland Carousel Out Of Commission Through 2017 Season

The historic carousel horses were not damaged by the fire.

RYE, NY — Don’t expect to take a ride on the Playland carousel before the season ends this year. Necessary repairs due to a fire on the roof of the ride Sunday will take some time to be made. Playland’s owner, Westchester County, is assessing the damage but said repairs likely can be made, the Journal News said.
