Playland To Host 'Teacher Appreciation Day'
Teachers can present their school IDs to receive one free admission wristband to the park.

RYE, NY — Before summer is just a memory in the Hudson Valley, County Executive George Latimer has invited all teachers to bring their families for a day of fun at the Westchester County-owned Playland Park in Rye Sunday, Aug. 25.
As the new school year is set to begin, Latimer said he wanted to make sure educators get a chance to enjoy Playland with their loved ones.
Teachers can stop by the tent at the fountain from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with proper identification (a school ID) to receive one free admission wristband to the park. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. teachers can pick up an admission wrist band at the Administration Office located near the fountain.
