Post Office Offers Christmas Eve Pick-Up In Rye

RYE, NY – If you received an attempted package delivery notice and can’t make it to the Post Office by this Saturday, Hudson Valley Postmasters have good news for you. With a 10 percent increase in package deliveries this holiday season, Hudson Valley Postmasters in select communities are extending pick-up hours to Sunday, Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 38 Post Offices.

The following 38 Post Offices in the Hudson Valley are offering package pick-up from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24:

Only Monroe, which offers regular Sunday retail hours throughout the year, will be open for package pick-up and retail services on Dec 24.

The Christmas Day and New Year’s Day federal holidays will be observed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 respectively. Post Offices will be closed on those days and only Priority Mail Express packages will be delivered. All Post Offices will be open and regular mail delivery will resume after the holidays on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
