Rye City School District Promotes New Sports App

The Rye High School Athletic Department has created a new mobile app to allow students, parents and fans to track all Rye High and Middle school matches.

Called the “Rye Garnet Sports App,” the software displays team schedules, complete with game times, locations and opponents. Followers can download to any mobile smartphone, iPad or tablet.

“Not only does the app provide directions to competitions via maps and GPS applications on your device, but it also allows Garnet fans to see schedule changes in real time the minute we update them,” said Athletic Director Rob Castagna in a statement.

The app also gives users the ability to add specific Garnet games as a calendar event for Google Calendar, Apple’s iCal and Microsoft Outlook.
