Rye Fire Heavily Damages House

RYE, NY — A fire tore through a house in Rye Saturday, but no one was injured. Authorities said the blaze broke out shortly after midnight in the Grandview Avenue dwelling.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious but is under investigation, according to the Journal News.

Rye's building department will be assessing the damage to the structure this week.

Early this morning Rye Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Grandview Ave. Firefighters were met with heavy fire throughout the residence on arrival.
