Rye Public Safety Commissioner Resigns

No reason was given for the resignation.

RYE, NY — The City of Rye will be looking for a new public safety commissioner. Michael Corcoran, who joined the Rye Police Department in 2015 and was appointed commissioner in 2017, stepped down Tuesday.

No reason for the resignation was given, and Lt. Robert Falk was named interim commissioner, lohud.com said.

He came to Rye from West Orange Police Department in New Jersey where he was deputy chief of police, according to his LinkenIn profile.
