How did you come up with the name?
When my son was in preschool we would go to birthday parties at play gyms every week. I wanted to bring back parties like we had when I was growing up which I felt were more personal and classic.

Briefly, what business are you in?
I’m in the party planning business, specializing in children’s parties, cocktail parties, graduation parties and showers and wedding related events.
What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
Juggling the time between my family and the business has been the most difficult challenge.
Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?
Not yet!
What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
My family has been very supportive and often help with delivering items for set up. One time my husband was helping me hang something and I looked over and my at the time 5-year-old and 3-year-old were setting up the kids table and chairs by themselves. They are all getting into the business too!
What’s the most innovative idea your employees or customers have had that you put into practice?
A client I’m working with now wants snow to be blowing outside for a party in May. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
How do you deal with difficult customers?
My contract has evolved to cover the issues I have had so far. It’s important to spell everything out clearly at the beginning to avoid problems.
How does your business give back or get involved in the community?
We launched at Mistletoe Magic in town 2 years ago and have since donated to the Rye Historical Society, the library, and most recently to the midland fair. Always looking for more businesses to partner with in town!
