Stolen Car Chase Ends With Collisions, Injuries: Police
The car chase began on the Hutchinson River Parkway, traveled through the Bronx and ended on I-95.
RYE, NY — A police chase of a stolen car that injured two people ended with an arrest of a Connecticut man. A spokesman for the Westchester County Police said, around 9 p.m. Wednesday, the Real Time Crime Center advised patrol units that a stolen Honda CRV was traveling south on the Hutchinson River Parkway.
Officers located the car near East Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon and tried to pull it over. The driver did not comply, police said.
The car was followed south to the Boston Post Road exit on the Bronx-Westchester border, where it left the Hutch and traveled through local streets in the Bronx until it got on I-95 northbound.

Police said the stolen car continued north on the Thruway until it eventually collided with two other cars in the vicinity of Playland Parkway.
Two people in one of the two other cars received minor injuries and were taken to Greenwich Hospital.

The driver of the stolen car — Adonis Duarte, 23, of New Haven, Connecticut — and a female passenger were taken into custody by county police.
Duarte was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony, and unlawful fleeing a police officer, a misdemeanor.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Rye City Court.
The female passenger was released.
Police said Duarte is also wanted by West Haven, Connecticut, police on a warrant charging him with first-degree robbery, a felony.
