The Italian Heritage Convention takes place from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. Music, dance and entertainment are on the menu, plus plenty of delicious food.

Nyack
Nyack Jazz Week is an annual celebration of jazz and blues presented by the Rockland County Jazz and Blues Society in Nyack and neighboring towns. Highlights include free outdoor concerts at local parks and premier concerts, including one on Sunday July 23 with the John Hart Quartet. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $20.

Kent Lakes
Bassist Jeremy McCoy will be perform works by Beethoven and Schubert at this year’s Friends of Classical Music Series from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Carmel Arts Center, 640 Route 52, Kent Lakes. Tickets are $75, which includes dinner and the performance.

Bannerman Island walking tours depart from 11 to 12:30 on Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sundays. Explore the castle ruins on this scenic island. Boats depart from Beacon Point Park, Long Dock Road.
