4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled In Farmingville

Farmingville's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate Independence Day.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified, or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

The annual fireworks display put on at Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville has been canceled this year, but there are other celebrations that will be held nearby.

Here’s a list of what celebrations are planned:

Central Islip:

  • A fireworks display will take place on July 4 at the Fairfield Properties Ballfield when the Long Island Ducks play Southern Maryland. That’s not all, though. In case you can’t make it, there will be another six displays this year. Click here for the dates.

Port Jefferson:

Rocky Point:

  • The Rocky Point Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6249 and the Rocky Point - Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting “A Celebration of Hometown Heroes” starting at 11 a.m. on July 4. The event will be held at the Rocky Point VFW, which is located at 109 King Rd.

Mount Sinai:

  • Tiki Joe’s Beach Club at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai is hosting a Fourth of July beach party featuring music by Slingshot. It will run from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information, go to www.tikijoesbeachclub.com

Brookhaven:

  • If you are looking for a less traditional view of fireworks, there will be a 4th of July Paddle on the Carmans River from 8 to 10 p.m. Canoes, kayaks, and SUPs launch from Carmans River Canoe and Kayak in Brookhaven. For more information, click here.
