5th Annual Great Brookhaven Cleanup and Plant-In Announced
Annual community events allow residents to beautify the area.

The fifth Annual Great Brookhaven Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 21 and the Great Brookhaven Plant-in will be held on Saturday June 9, at various locations throughout Brookhaven Town.
The events, sponsored by the Town in cooperation with Keep America Beautiful, Inc., drew over 5,000 residents last year. These events are part of a national effort and last year over 2.3 million volunteers in more than 15,000 communities across America came together to pick up litter, renew parks, and clean miles of roadway, rivers, lakes, and seashore.
“The Great Brookhaven Clean-up and Plant-in gives residents the opportunity to join with their neighbors and make a difference in their community," said Supervisor Mark Lesko, in a statement, “participants show how much they care about the environment and their dedication to making Brookhaven a cleaner and more beautiful place to live.”
