Snow Possible For Long Island This Week
See when we may see some snow, something that's been rare so far this winter.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Snow has been a rarity on Long Island this winter, but we could see some of the white stuff come mid-week, the National Weather Service says. The workweek starts out downright gorgeous with sunny skies and a high near 51 degrees on Monday. Rain moves in Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures hover above normal.
Things get interesting come Wednesday night, though. Temperatures will plunge and snow is likely early Thursday.
"There is the potential for accumulation," but there is still a great deal of uncertainty in the forecast at this time, the weather service says. No snow accumulation estimates have been made yet.
