Aegean Pizza In Mostly Vacant Sun Vet Plaza Plans To Stay Open

Holbrook, NY — Although Aegean Italian & Greek Pizzeria Restaurant is located in the increasingly vacant Sun Vet mall, the popular pizza destination has no immediate plans to relocate or close. Owner Harry Rossis announced Tuesday on social media that he's not aware of any plans for the mall's closure or redevelopment.

The restaurant was voted one of the top ten pizza places on Long Island by Newsday and stays busy despite Sun Vet mall's increasing store closures in recent months. Below is the full text of Rossis' Facebook message:

"To our valued customers, friends & family,

We at Aegean Pizzeria & Restaurant would first like to sincerely thank you all for your continued patronage and support over the years that have enabled us to proudly serve the community since 1974.

We are aware of the current uncertainties and subsequent rumors surrounding the status and fate of the Sunvet Mall, in which our business resides. Details regarding the Mall are unknown to us at this time, however, we do know that we at Aegean still have plenty of time left on our lease of the current storefront and have plans to continue operating in our current location into the foreseeable future.

Please do not let any of the various illegitimate rumors that are circulating influence your thoughts or assumptions about our business; we promise that any truthful updates or changes in information regarding Aegean Pizzeria & Restaurant, or the Sunvet Mall, will be forwarded to all of you as quickly as we become aware of it. Until that information comes about, we will be dedicated, as we always have been, to providing the best quality pizza, Italian and Greek cuisine to our customers as possible.
