Amazon Warehouse Set To Open In Suffolk In Late 2021

HOLBROOK, NY — Amazon officials have signed a lease for a warehouse that will be used as a distribution center on Broadway in Holbrook with plans to have it fully-operational by the end of the year.

Amazon Logistics announced recently that they have signed leases in an effort to open delivery stations at the 717 Bwy location in Holbrook, as well as 305 Robbins Ln. in Syosset, which is expected to open in late 2022. In a statement, Amazon officisals said the delivery stations’ physical layout and electrical design have been designed to meet the needs of electric delivery vehicles.

The locations have been “optimized” to offer flexibility and scale as Amazon moves closer toward putting 10,000 electric delivery vehicles on the road in 2022, officials said.

Amazon spokesperson Jenna Hilzenrath said the company is “excited to continue to invest” in New York “with new delivery stations that will provide efficient delivery for customers, and create thousands of job opportunities for the talented workforce.”

“These new delivery stations represent Amazon’s unwavering commitment to safety, technological innovations, and skilled teams who are obsessed with delivering for our customers,” she added.

Two New York locations, including Carle Place and East Syracuse opened recently. In addition to Carle Place, East Syracuse, Holbrook, and Syosset, there are also plans for another 13 sites throughout New York. Amazon has over 250 delivery stations throughout the U.S.
