Anthony Kiesel​, Former Fire Marshal From Farmingville, Dies

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Anthony Francis Kiesel, a veteran of the U.S. Army and former Fire Marshal with the FDNY from Farmingville, died on Sunday. He was 80.

Kiesel is survived by wife, Patricia; three daughters, Nora Klaus, Katherine Wiwczar and Sarah Wilgren; brother, of Conrad Kiesel; sister, Virginia Shary, Marcella Kiese; grandchildren, Matthew, Emma, Liam, Harrison, Kieran and Sarah.

Kiesel was a retired Supervisor Fire Marshal with the FDNY, where he worked for more than 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus with St. Regis Council in Ronkonkoma.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. at the McManus-Lorey Funeral Home, 2084 Horse Block Road, Medford. Funeral Service Thursday 9:00 AM from the funeral home. Mass Thursday 10:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection, Farmingville. Interment with honors to follow in Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation, nyffburncenter.com.
