Bald Hill July 4th Celebration to Feature Grucci Fireworks

Organizers say it's the biggest fireworks celebration in Suffolk County. There's also a free concert.

FARMINGVILLE, NY – The Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheatre at Bald Hill will host an Independence Day Celebration featuring a free concert and Grucci fireworks on the Fourth of July.

From the amphitheatre's website: Oldies 98 teams up with the Town of Brookhaven to celebrate America’s birthday and together with our sister stations from JVC Broadcasting we’re set to present another spectacular family night free of charge! There’ll be special performances by Billy Mira & The Hitmen and the Billy Joel tribute band “Captain Jack”. Bring your beach chairs, blankets and the family and listen to the soundtrack live on Oldies 98 and Party 105.3.

Doors open at 5 p.m. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

North Ocean Avenue, Mooney Pond Road and Granny Road in Farmingville will all be closed in both directions between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to the Suffolk Police Department.

"Expect delays and plan alternate routes," police say.
