Brookhaven Beaches, Pools Closed Due To Tropical Storm Elsa
The storm is expected to wallop the south shore, bringing heavy rains, wind gusts, and possible flooding, town officials said.

FARMINGVILLE, NY —Brookhaven Town officials have decided to close all pools and beaches on Friday, in anticipation of Tropical Storm Elsa, which is expected to wallop the south shore, bringing heavy rains, wind gusts, and possible flooding.
Town residents can call 451-TOWN (8696) to report storm-related issues. Officials are instructing residents to call 911 for police, fire, and ambulance emergencies only. Power outages or downed wires can be reported to all PSEG at 1-800-490-0075, or by going to www.psegliny.com to file a report online.
