Brookhaven Beach, Pool Hours Extended Due To Heat Wave

Lifeguards will be on duty and restrooms will be open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Another day of extended beach and pool hours has been added by the Town of Brookhaven.

The facilities will be open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday in light of the continued heat wave.

The affected beach facilities include Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai, including both west and main beaches; West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook, and Corey Beach in Blue Point. Lifeguards will be on duty at the facilities and restrooms will be open from 11 a.m. 7 p.m.

The town’s Holtsville and Centereach pools will also be open under the same conditions. Online pre-registration and payment for the pools are required, according to town officials.

Brookhaven Town resident parking stickers are required for free beach and pool parking except at the Centereach pool, where parking is free. For more details about registering or obtaining parking stickers for the pool, visit www.BrookhavenNY.gov
