CBS Sports To Air Bowling Tournament Featuring Sachem Phenom
Amanda Naujokas made the USA under 17 bowling team in July. You can watch the Sachem High School North phenom on CBS Sports Tuesday.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Amanda Naujokas made the USA under 17 bowling team two weeks ago, and those interested in watching the Sachem High School North phenom can do so Tuesday night on CBS Sports.
The network will re-air parts of the July tournament outside Detroit where Naujokas learned she earned a spot on the team. The U.S. Bowling Congress announced the news in a tweet Tuesday afternoon, saying the tournament will air at 8 p.m. on CBS Sports.
"Watch the debut of the U17 stepladder finals as the 2019 Junior Gold Championships presented by the Brands of Ebonite International air tonight on @CBSSportsNet," the USBC tweeted. 'The girls kick off the action at 8 p.m. (Eastern). #JuniorGold2019."

Naujokas, who will be a senior in the fall, told Patch on Tuesday she's excited to watch.
"I'm excited to see what they are going to say about my game because I've already been on TV two times," she wrote in an Instagram message. "I'm wondering if they are going to do any flashbacks from 2015."

Naujokas was the 2015 under 12 girls champion.
At the Junior Gold Championships, held at Thunderbowl Lanes, Naujokas was "shocked" to learn she made the national team. The Lake Ronkonkoma teen won three matches to get to the televised finals but lost her first match in the finals.
Even in defeat, a coach for the national team walked up to her and delivered good news.
"I was shocked because I didn't think I made [the team]," said Naujokas. "And then he was like 'You made it because you qualified second."
Naujokas previously told Patch she has been bowling since she was just 4 years old. At about 8, she began taking lessons, and now she trains five or six times a week, often at Coram Country Lanes on Middle Country Road. She has also traveled to Chicago a few times to train and recently returned from a weekslong training session there.
Naujokas is already getting recruited to play in college. She has until December to decide where to attend, but she already knows she wants to teach kids.
