Donate to Sachem East's Darfur Dream Team

High school is involved with sister school program to help children overseas.

Sachem High School East is now a part of a sister school program in Darfur with a goal to aid in the educational and humanitarian efforts of Darfur refugees.

Through the Darfur Dream Team program, Sachem East students and administrators can connect to children in the Darfur refugee camps.

“My peers and I know now how important an education must be to these children,” said Sachem East senior Tara Brown. “Without an education, how are they going to be able to stand up to their oppressing, and corrupt government and make lasting change?”

So far the club at Sachem East has raised $420 during open school night, and has been given a $500 check from the owner of Artistic Gymnastics in support of their efforts to help.
