Drive-In Movie Series Begins This Weekend In Farmingville

A series of drive-in showings kicks off Friday at the Bald Hill amphitheater.

FARMINGVILLE, NY —Drive-in movies are coming to Farmingville this summer. The "Farmingville Flicks Drive-In Movie Series" kicks off this Friday at the Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill. The series of screenings is hosted by the Sachem Library and the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Movies will cost $15 per car, since local sponsors have signed on to offset some of the cost. Proceeds will go to the Farmingville Forward Fund, set up to assist Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce, Inc. businesses reopen after the pandemic closures.

Tickets and showtimes are available here. This Friday, The Princess Bride is showing, and next week the timely Independence Day will play on Friday, July 3. As of now, the shows run until the weekend of July 18, but the series may be extended.
