While there is no question that greenhouse gases are being released to the atmosphere at alarming rates by fossil fuel burning, it is less certain that global temperature is increasing as a result. Professor Troy Rasbury will review the sedimentary rock record for long-term changes in atmospheric CO2 that can be linked to climate change, and suggest how her research on seawater chemistry change through time will aid in the evaluation of global climate issues.Â
