Farmingville House Party Had 200-300 In Attendance: Police
A woman who lives at the home faces charges following the party Saturday night.
FARMINGVILLE, NY — A Farmingville woman faces charges following a large party that included underage drinking at her home Saturday night, Suffolk police said.
Sixth Precinct officers responded to Somers Court at around 8:40 p.m. in response to multiple 911 calls regarding a large party.
Resident Kim Catalanotto, 47, was charged with second-degree criminal nuisance and violating Suffolk County's social host law, police said.

There were between 200 and 300 people at the party, police said. Catalanotto will be arraigned at a later date.
A 62-year-old man who lives on the street was struck in the face by a man as the partiers were leaving, police said. The man was treated for minor injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital. Police said Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating to find the attacker.

Police told News 12 there are concerns the party may become a COVID-19 super-spreader event and it wasn't the only large party in the area over the weekend.
The host of a party in Riverhead with 300 guests and a DJ Friday night violated public health law and coronavirus protocols, police said.
