Fourth Of July 2019: What's Open, Closed In Sachem
Some services will be closed in the Sachem area for the Fourth of July through the rest of the week.

SACHEM, NY — As families gather together across the country to celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, barbecues and days off of work, many services will also take a break for the holiday. With the Fourth of July falling on a Thursday this year, some services will be closed in the Sachem area on Friday as well.
The Sachem Public Library will be closed on Thursday and the Brockhaven YMCA Center in Holtsville will also be closed on Independence Day.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo also announced that state troopers and local law enforcement agencies will increase patrols to combat intoxicated driving during the holiday from June 29 through July 5, according to a news release.

Sachem Public Library: The library is closed on July 4. It will reopen the following day with its normal hours from 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Brookhaven YMCA Center in Holtsville: The YMCA will be totally closed Thursday on Independence Day. The facility will reopen Friday with its normal summer hours.
YMCA Family Services in Holtsville: The family services department of the YMCA in Holtsville will also be closed July 4. The department will reopen Friday from 9 a.m - 5 p.m.
New Village Community Center in Centereach: The Sachem community center is closed on July 4 and will reopen on Friday for regular hours.
Greenbelt Recreation Center in Holtsville: The recreational center is closed on July 4. The center will reopen with its regular hours on Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
