Frontier Airlines Increases Flights Out Of MacArthur Airport
"These schedule improvements will make it easier than ever to fly from MacArthur Airport," Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter said.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Frontier Airlines is increasing its service options at Long Island MacArthur Airport from November through March. The boost in service will add such options as year-round flights to Fort Lauderdale — rather than seasonal — and twice daily flights to Orlando, up from once-a-day, except on Tuesdays, according to Islip town officials.
Other destinations in Florida are also growing in availability.
Tampa Bay, West Palm Beach and Fort Myers flights are all becoming daily service options. Popular destinations such as Raleigh-Durham and Atlanta will now also be upgraded from seasonal to year-round service as well.

"These schedule improvements will make it easier than ever to fly from MacArthur Airport," said Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. "Frontier's decision to focus on Long Island indicates the enthusiasm we are seeing from Nassau and Suffolk County travelers."
"Long Island is really responding to Frontier's service, and we want to make it easier for people to fly more often," said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial at Frontier Airlines.

There has been a rapid increase in the number of daily flights out of MacArthur Airport. In August 2017, Frontier launched one daily flight from the airport to Orlando. Two years later, Frontier offered eight nonstop destinations. Indeed, Frontier recently celebrated its millionth passenger out of the airport.
