Happy Mother's Day To Robyn Melis

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 12, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Mariah Melis' letter to her mom:

My mom is Super Mom. As a single mother raising two girls on her own, my mom never made my sister or me feel like we received any less than others. In fact, we received more because of what she gave up for herself to give us.

She is a role model who has taught us what it’s like to be strong, confident and hard-working women. I cannot be more thankful to have her as a mom and only hope I could be half the woman she is.

Mom, you did just fine. I love you so much, and I hope you know how much you are appreciated, not just today, but every day. Happy Mother’s Day!
