The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Long Island. Between 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, locally 2 to 3 inches, is possible Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night with a developing coastal low pressure system.
Localized flash flooding will be an issue for low-lying coastal roads if the heaviest rain coincides with the Wednesday night high tides, the weather service said.
