Holtsville Ecology Site Will Reopen This Spring

The animal preserve will reopen to the public May 1, after a long pandemic shutdown.

HOLTSVILLE, NY— A family-favorite Suffolk destination will be reopening this spring after being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Holtsville Ecology Site & Animal Preserve will open to the public on May 1.

Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Losquadro announced that the site has undergone infrastructure improvements and the animal preserve has added new animal residents.

The ecology center is located at 429 Buckley Rd. and is home to 100 injured or non-releasable wild animals and farm animals for families to visit.
