HOLTSVILLE, NY — The Holtsville Fire Department will host its second movie night of the summer this month and members of the community are invited to vote between showing "The Emoji Movie" and "Coco." The event will be held July 26. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start around 8:20 p.m.

The movie will play on the department's massive 20-foot inflatable screen in the backyard of the fire house — about 2 acres in size — located at 1025 Waverly Ave., an assistant chief for the department told Patch on Tuesday.

"We're doing it to give families a nice night out," the assistant chief said.

While the event is free, the department hopes the public will consider donating money, which will go toward its future fundraising events. Attendees will be able to buy burgers, hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn as they watch the film, and sip on refreshments. Sorry parents, pets and booze are banned. Smokers will also have to leave their cigarettes in the car.

Those interested in attending can vote on the film via the fire department's Facebook page. Polls close in a week, after which the winner will be announced.

In June, about 500 people showed up to the department's showing of the movie, "Trolls." The department was able to raise about $2500 during that event.
