Holtsville Fire To Host 3rd Summer Movie Night Fundraiser
The Holtsville Fire Department is hosting a movie night July 26. Family fun, a tasty meal, and Frozen are all scheduled for the night.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — The Holtsville Fire Department will host its third movie night of the summer season at the end of August, as members of the Holtsville community are invited to enjoy the popular kids film, "Frozen."
The event will be held Friday, Aug. 23. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin closer to 8 p.m. Frozen will play on the fire department's king sized 20-foot inflatable screen in the backyard of the fire house — about 2 acres in size — located at 1025 Waverly Ave.
While the event is free, the department hopes the public will consider donating money, which will go toward its future fundraising events. Attendees will be able to chow down on hot dogs, cheeseburgers, ice cream, chips and candy, according to the events FB Page.

Fun glow sticks will also be available, just remember everything is cash only. It's also a strictly family-friendly event —adults will have to leave pets, booze, and cigarettes at home.
"We're doing it to give families a nice night out," the assistant chief told Patch about the last fire department movie night.

In June, about 500 people showed up to the department's showing of the movie, "Trolls." The department was able to raise close to $2500 during that event.
