Letter to the Editor: Support Troop 100

Looking for donations for educational trip.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Boy Scout Troop 100 has been helping to guide young men in the Farmingville/Holtsville area for over fifty years. As a non-profit organization, we fund programs through dues, fundraising and the generosity of local businesses to educate and provide a positive influence for the growth and personal success of our young men.

From May 18-20, our Boy Scout Troop will be traveling to Washington D.C. on an educational trip of our country’s history and heritage. To help support this event, we are requesting donations from businesses to help us achieve this program goal. As a contributor, your donation will go a long way to make a difference in the lives of our Scouts. Remember, donations are tax deductible and our Troop will supply you with a donation receipt letter.
