LI Native Ashanti, Ja Rule, And Fabolous To Play Bald Hill

The artists will perform at the Long Island Music Festival in September, according to Ticketmaster.com.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Long Island native Ashanti will be performing along with Ja Rule and Fabolous at the Long Island Music Festival this September at Long Island Community Ampitheater on Bald Hill in Farmingville, according to ticketmaster.com.

The multi-platinum record-selling R&B songstress who grew up in Glen Cove is best known for songs like “What’s Luv” with Fat Joe and “Happy” with Ja Rule. The video for the latter was shot in the Glen Cove featuring family, friends, and fellow artists from her record label, Murder Inc.

Tickets for the Sept. 11 event will go on sale Saturday at noon.

The performance comes on the heels of the Grammy award winner dropping her new single, "235 (2:35 I Want You),” Newsday reported. Ja Rule’s latest release is "Heartbreaker" with RIKKI, while Fabolous recorded with JAHKOY on "Exes & Summer Flings,” the outlet reported.

In addition to “Happy,” Ashanti has worked with Ja Rule on songs like "Down 4 U," "Rain on Me," "Wonderful" and "Always on Time."
