Long Island 5K To Support Holtsville Ecology Site

Are you ready to run "fur" animal advocacy?

The 5K Run Wild "Fur" The Animals & Wolf Fest will take place on Oct. 5 to support the Holtsville Ecology Site.

The race, which begins at 9 a.m., will be followed by a family pet walk at 10:30 at the Holtsville Wildlife & Ecology Site.

The race will include a free finish photo and video, t-shirts to the first 100 registered participants, vendors, games, a puppet show, animal education programs, face painting, kids crafts and more.

Pre-registration cost $25 and day-of-the-race registration is $30.

Following the run/walk, Brookhaven Town’s Woof Fest will begin at 11 a.m. The day’s activities include family fun activities with your pets, kids' crafts, games, puppet show, animal education programs, a pet costume contest, and demonstrations.
