Man Robbed Lake Ronkonkoma Subway At Knifepoint: Police
The 61-year-old man was arrested soon after the robbery Monday night, police say.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — A 61-year-old man was arrested soon after he robbed a Lake Ronkonkoma Subway restaurant at knifepoint Monday night, Suffolk police said.
Richard Sutton entered the Subway at 600 Portion Road around 8:45 p.m., approached an employee at the counter, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the register, police said.
Another employee approached the register and complied with Sutton’s demand, police said.

Officers apprehended and arrested Sutton a short time later, police said.
Sutton, of Selden, was charged with first degree robbery. He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday. He was released without bail and is due back in court Friday.
