Man Stabbed Outside Farmingville Restaurant

The stabber is in custody, police say.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — A man was arrested after he stabbed another man outside a Farmingville restaurant Friday evening, police said.

According to Suffolk police, Arlington Guzman-Mejia stabbed a 38-year-old man outside of Los Amigos Restaurant at 1075 Portion Road at about 5:40 p.m.

The victim, a Port Jefferson man who police did not name, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Sixth precinct officers arrested Guzman-Mejia, 38, at the scene.

Guzman-Mejia, of Port Jefferson Station, is charged with first degree assault. He will be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip Saturday.
