Merrimac Supports National Wear Red Day

Students and staff raise money and support heart health.

Earlier this month, students at Merrimac Elementary School participated in National Wear Red Day.

Students helped raise more than $150 for the American Heart Association. National Wear Red Day is February 3 and celebrated to support heart health.

Merrimac's School Nurse Kathy Conner put the day together, according to Principal Veronica DeCicco.
