Sigma Product Undergoes Name Change: According to MarketWatch.com, in a personal letter to the company's loyal customers, Sigma Corporation CEO Kazuto Yamaki said Ronkonkoma-based Sigma's 46-megapixel SD1 DSLR will be renamed the SD1 Merrill in honor of Richard "Dick" Merrill, the late co-creator of the Foveon X3 Direct Image Sensor technology. The SD1 Merrill will be sold for approximately $3,300 MSRP in the United States, MarketWatch reported.

East/West Industries to Highlight Products: According to a post on RotorNews.com, East/West Industries, Inc. of Ronkonkoma, will be highlighting products for the rotorcraft community at Heli-Expo 2012. Here is the list of products they will have on display.

Soundview Realty Acquires Farmingville Office for $4.6M: According to CoStar.com, Soundview Realty Group, a New York-based developer, acquired the TFCU five-story office building on North Ocean Avenue in Farmingville for $4.6 million, or about $101 per square foot. John O'Hara and Leo Farrell of Corporate Realty Services LLC represented the seller. The buyer was represented in-house.
