Sigma Corporation wins awards: According to Business Wire, Sigma Corporation of America based in Ronkonkoma, a leading researcher, developer, manufacturer and service provider for some of the world's most impressive lines of lenses, cameras and flashes, has been awarded four Hot One Awards from Professional Photographer. The winning lineup included Sigma's 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro (Macro Lens category), 120-300mm F2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM (Standard Zoom Lens category), 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 II DG HSM II (Wide Zoom Lens category) and the SD1 (Digital SLR $7,000+ category, a release said.
inGenious Targeting Laboratory moving to Ronkonkoma: inGenious Targeting Laboratory (iTL), a leader in the industry of genetically modified mice, announced last week the relocation of their world headquarters to a new facility in Ronkonkoma, according to a story on openpr.com.

“The new laboratory will provide iTL with the room to accommodate an increasing client base," said iTL President and COO Paul Sheiffele, in a statement. "It will also give us the capacity to broaden the scope of the technology used to address new, and potential challenges in the strategy design and execution of customized gene targeted mouse models. We are delighted to move into this new space, and are excited to be a part of the growing life science community in the area.”
