Pedestrian Injured In Parking Lot Of IRS In Holtsville: Police

The person suffered minor injuries, Suffolk police said.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — A pedestrian was injured in a car crash inside the parking lot of the Internal Revenue Service’s Holtsville location on Wednesday, Suffolk police said.

Police said the pedestrian was struck inside the parking lot at 5000 Corporate Dr. at about 7 a.m., and suffered “minor injuries.” No further information was immediately available from police.

It was one of two crashes with injuries that police responded to in Holtsville between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Three people were injured after a two-car crash caused one of the cars to veer off the roadway and into a tree before catching fire in Holtsville just before midnight, police said.

The people, including a man and woman from Coram, as well as a Staten Island man, were transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
