Police: Homeless Man Charged In Strangulation
SCPD charges Kevin Conway in death of another homeless man that stemmed from incident this past weekend in Lake Ronkonkoma.

A homeless man was arrested and charged with strangling another homeless man on Saturday outside of a fast food restaurant in Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, Kevin Conway, 33, got into an altercation with Keith Leone in the parking lot of Checkers Restaurant at 258 Portion Road at around 1:30 a.m. Law enforcement authorities said Leone was left at the scene unconscious and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition.
Leone, 39, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on October 23.

Detectives from the Fourth Squad arrested Conway later in the day on Saturday, October 20. He was arraigned on October 21 at First District Court in Central Islip and charged with second degree assault and first degree strangulation.
The Suffolk County Homicide Section is continuing the investigation and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office will determine whether additional charges will be lodged against Conway.
