JONES BEACH, NY —Jon Bellion, a Sachem alum, returned to his native Long Island over the weekend to play at Jones Beach and fulfill a longstanding goal.

The rapper is known best for writing the hook to Eminem and Rihanna's hit song "The Monster" and for helping to write Jason Derulo's hit "Trumpets." Bellion has a couple hits of his own as well, including "All Time Low" and "Beautiful Now," which peaked at No. 16 and No. 64 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, respectively.

Before making it big, Bellion was a student at Sachem High School North, class of 2009. And on Saturday, the Lake Grove native performed in front of a raucous crowd at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. He estimated about 10,000 fans were in attendance to watch the homecoming, part of the "Glory Sound Prep Tour."
