Police ID Ronkonkoma Woman Fatally Run Over By Husband
The woman was taking groceries out of the trunk when the vehicle backed up into her, police say. Her death was ruled non-criminal.
RONKONKOMA, NY — A woman is dead after her husband accidentally rolled over her with his car in the driveway of their Ronkonkoma home on Thursday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
Marisa Orlando, 80, was removing groceries from the trunk of a vehicle in the driveway of her Hawthorne Avenue home when Pietro Orlando, 84, backed the vehicle into her around 12:25 p.m., police said. Marisa Orlando was pronounced dead at the scene. Pietro Orlando was not injured, police said.
Police say their preliminary investigation determined the incident to be non-criminal.
