Sachem Athletics Receive $5K From Stouffer's

Sachem Athletics received $5,000 Saturday from the Stouffer's company, who also provided free macaroni and cheese to those attending that day's away game against William Floyd at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex.

The gesture, which William Floyd also received, is part of the company's "Taste of Home" promotion where a Stouffer's food truck attends select high school games across the country.

Kristina Amaral, a representative from the company at Saturday's game, told Patch that the Sachem North/William Floyd matchup was selected as both teams have good standings, with the rivalry game expected to have a large turnout.

Saturday's game was the promotion's only stop in New York, with other scheduled stops taking place in Ohio, Illinois and New Jersey locations.
