Sachem East Lax Players Shine on International Stage

Two members of the Sachem East varsity lacrosse team (seniors Tyler Alvarez and Joe Licata) had a unique opportunity to play in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic (representing Long Island) this past summer and in The Brogden Cup (international play) just this past weekend.

The results for Long Island could not have been any better. A record of 6-0 winning the national competition (over a long summer weekend) which earned the team the right to represent the USA for The Brogden Cup just last week. Team went 4-0 while representing USA beating national co-champs Maryland twice and team Ontario representing Canada two times as well. These events were truly special lacrosse experiences for our Sachem East boys who both contributed to the victories.

We are very proud and happy for these young men. What a great experience for them and their teammates and of course representing Sachem East and their country proudly!!
