Sachem Hockey Snaps Seven-Game Win Streak

Loses to Connetquot/Sayville, 9-1.

With players out suffering from injuries and others out from suspensions and conflicts, the third place Sachem Arrows faced off against a very strong second place Connetquot/Sayville team this week.

Just 17 seconds into the game Connetquot/Sayville's scored. The Arrows answered 2.5 mins later with a power play goal from Robbie Donnelly. That was the Arrows only bright spot as Connetquot/sayville went on a roll and scored eight unanswered goals, winning 9-1, and snapping Sachem's seven-game winning streak.

Connetquot/Sayville beat the Arrows to every puck, won the neutral zone and outplayed them in every aspect of the game.

"It was a very disappointing loss as we were totally outplayed," said Sachem coach Al Posillico, "and with the short bench we could not compete with Connetquot's full bench."

Sachem hopes for a better result as it faces off against undefeated Smithtown/Hauppauge this Sunday, December 4 at 6:20 p.m. at The Rinx in Hauppauge.
