The Sachem Board of Education named Christopher J. Pellettieri as the district's next superintendent Tuesday night.
Pellettieri, currently the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Rockville Centre School District, will replace John O'Keefe, who has been serving as interim superintendent. Former Sachem superintendent Kenneth Graham announced in May that he had accepted the superintendent's job in the Locust Valley Central School District.
Pellettieri was the 2014 recipient of the Fred Podolski Leadership and Innovation in Technology Visionary Award.
