Sachem Staff Member Tests Positive For Coronavirus
BREAKING: The staff member was in three Sachem schools on Wednesday.

A Sachem school district employee tested positive for coronavirus on Friday, Superintendent Christopher Pellettieri said in a letter to the community.
The staff member was in three schools for less than 15 minutes each on Wednesday. The schools were Sagamore Middle School, Lynwood Avenue Elementary and Waverly Elementary, Pellettieri said.
The employee, who is asymptomatic and doing well, was socially distanced and wore a mask the entire time while inside the schools.

Thus far the Suffolk County Department of Health has stated there is no further action to be taken in these buildings besides the typical cleaning and disinfecting we do each night and over the weekends, Pellettieri said.
