Long Island Girl, 13, ‘Home Safe’ After Reported Missing: Police

UPDATE: Suffolk police said Sunday that Zakiah Merrival, the 13-year-old Holbrook girl who was reported missing Saturday, is at home and is unharmed.

HOLBROOK, NY — Suffolk County police detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a Holbrook teenager who was reported missing on Saturday.

Police said Zakiah Merrival, 13, was last seen at her home, on Ballad Circle, at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday. She was “possibly riding a neon green and blue bicycle,” police said.

Merrival is white, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes, according to police.

She was reported missing by a family member at about 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on her location to call 911 or the 5th Squad at 631-854-8552.
