Topgolf Facility Approved To Be Built On Long Island
The Topgolf facility has been approved despite opposition from the community.

The Brookhaven Town Planning Board on Monday approved a Topgolf facility to be constructed in Holtsville—despite strong opposition from the community.
The $25 million, three-story facility, which was already approved by the town board, will be built west of Nichols Road off the Long Island Expressway service ramp. It will be the first Topgolf location in New York.
Topgolf facilities have a driving range, entertainment area and restaurants—and residents say the range nets would be 160 feet over their homes.

"I think the property values will drop,” Angela Hart, a Holtsville resident, told CBS 2 last month.“Who is going to want to buy here, you have the music and the lights and partying ’til 2 o’clock in the morning?”
The Town of Brookhaven said the facility will bring around 500 jobs to the area.
